Style Mom – Nichelle Pace

Nichelle and her sons

Running her own business gives Nichelle the ability to set her own schedule. The hardest part for her has been relinquishing some control.

“I’m not a supermom. I realize I can’t do it all myself, and don’t want to do it alone.”

The single mother of two teenage sons took a big risk in January 2009 when she left behind ten years  of work in the advertising industry to launch StyleMom.com. She decided it was time that she make it her business to help other women maintain their sense of style and beauty.

Nichelle works at home three days a week and sometimes stays in her pajamas until noon. That doesn’t mean she’s not busy building her StyleMom.com brand. Her five year goal is to rely on her sense of style, creativity and passion to build her company into an international success.

Pace never forgets for long what her top priorities are. When it’s time to go to Julian’s football games or take Jonathan to an appointment StyleMom switches into her mommy role, but even at these times she never looses her identity or sense of style.

Are you brave enough to take off on your own, start a new business or a new life? What would push you to take such a risk?
